I have a 4 spd and and Auto console here. The consoles themselves are the same. The diffrence between them is that the trim piece that goes around the shifter is round on the 4spd, and square around the the Auto. This trim piece is removable (changeable) by removing the 4 screws that retain it from the bottom side.

If your using a transmission other than the original RAG 4 spd, you will likely need to move the hole where it comes thru the floor to the left and foward about 2" and bend the shift handle to come thru the console correctly. In my case (I'm running a RUG 4spd from an 83 GT), and I used a larger shift boot, and deleted the trim peice completly.
