Were there changes in the balance weights over the years? Have a 87 Turbo Coupe motor I want to run a c4 behind. Want to know what year flex plates will work?

A4LD flexplate will work depending on who's converter you choose.

Oh gosh, I don't know if it applies to the 4 cylinders...but I seem to remember hearing the V8 debacle of early vs. late. The V8s in the IIs had a 28 oz balanced plate, and after '79 or so, they were 50 oz. But that's for the 5.0s.

well after selling the car and now buying it back again im finally ready to put in the c4 so did u ever figure out whick torque converter and fly wheel to use i got a c4 bell just dont know what it came out of thanks if anyone can help
