hey, i was wondering if a c4 from a 1990 LTD that was mounted to a 302 would be able to swap into my '75 ii behind my 302. I'm needing a new tranny and someone i know wants to sell their 1990 LTD and its got a good engine and tranny for $150.

Are you running headers now or manifolds?

It is possible with a little work... Been running an AOD in my II for a few years now...

Headers will not fit with an AOD in a II... The next thing is what year your engine is, and what flex plate you are using... The II flex plate will not work with an AOD... And if your engine is pre '82 the flex plate from the '87 will be balanced wrong... The proper flex plate isn't too hard to find, but it's important to have..

The other thing you may run into problems with is the shifter... Depending on how creative you are you'll either have to find some pieces or do some engineering..

The drive shaft should fit okay
You'll have to be a bit creative on the crossmembers...
And most likely you'll need some exhaust work when you are done...

If you gots any questions my addy is [email protected] I may even have some pics floating around....
