I know how you feel. My '77s tags were due for renewal back at the end of January, so I went ahead and got the Historic plates for it. Now it's emissions exempt. I think I'm also entitled to an insurance break.

My '77 only has Comprehensive for coverage. Or whatever it's called...the bare minimum. I still haven't looked into any price break in insurance since I have the Historic tags, so I really don't know. But insurance on it is only $200 every six months.

$200 every six???? I pay that every 2 months ($110 a month, liability only, 95 Chevy S-10, 1 wreck (4-9-01), no tickets... My insurance has gone up 3 times (twice without a reason given) and I carry the Texas bare minimum (+towing for $0.75 a month, it is a chevy, and therefore needs it,(this coverage pays for itself anually!) I am looking for another insurance carrier, as my insurance payment is knocking out an entire fast food paycheck right now (I get paid every other week, average of 110-150 a check) my insurance alone is going to force me to take out another job!!!!!
