As you know, we don't ask member fees like some websites do, we always thought that was wrong of a web site to do. We're just gearheads trying to help other gearheads and hoping to learn more about our hobby ourselves.

Of course it isn't free to run this web site. We rent an ever increasing amount of space from our host to perch this board, and you wouldn't believe the amount of space we use just to store member's pages.

We also don't believe in the practice that some web sites engage in of using freebee bulletin board that make their members wade through pop-ups or other foolishness. Any propositions we get to sell user email address lists are automatically rejected without even thinking about it.

The funds to run this web site come from three places, my pocket, sponsorship from National Parts Depot and Mustangs Plus which we greatly appreciate, and commission from sales through the M&M Bookstore/Amazon.com links and our Eastwood link. There is also a Amazon Honor System link at the bottom of the page that virtually nobody ever uses, but that's ok because we don't expect something for nothing.

The favor I'd like to ask is as you start your Christmas shopping this year if there's anything you are buying that can be gotten through Amazon, which is a lot of things from books to CDs to electronics to even tools and body shop materials --- they have almost everything these days --- compare the prices on Amazon to what you will be spending anyway and if it works out, give the M&M Bookstore your business. I think you will find most of the time it will even be cheaper getting it here, and with books from what I've seen we'll be cheaper, usually by far, 100% of the time.

I'm hoping that we can boost M&M's bookstore income by a wide margin just by tapping some business you'll be feeding to a faceless big-box store anyway. It will be easy to improve on our sales lately, we just had a horrible six month period in the M&M Bookstore, we've earned less than $10.00, yes that's not a typo, ten dollars, in the last six months. That doesn't go far if I have to hire a tech at $150/half hour, which is their latest rate.

So the bottom line, if you can send M&M any business through the M&M Bookstore or Eastwood's we'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

Not trying to toot a horn here, but I've bought through the amazon link here (books) and I even did the honor link thing once (for donation).

But I'm never sure if it actually gave M&M credit for it. Although it's been awhile . Maybe they give some kind of confirmation email or something now.

Both the Amazon systems never identify who has bought books or donated through the honor system, so let me take this chance to personally say thanks for the support!
