The grounds around the track where about 75% of the Mustangs were parked were made up of graystone about 2-4" in size, and they were just about impossible to roll a wheelchair over. We were about to resign ourselves to not seeing most of the cars up close when we ran into Jerry and Vikki. They had rented a golf cart for the day, and seeing the hard time we were having, they offered to chauffeur us around the grounds. We ended up spending most of a day together with Jerry doing some of the driving and Vikki doing some of the driving. These folks turned a problem into a delightful situation for Pam and me. Jerry and Vikki, you have our sincere thanks! This is reason #894,394 of how M&Mers are great people. Here's Jerry and me, wondering why Edelbrock brought so many Chevy heads to a Mustang show. Here's Vikki, their daughter Lindsay, and me looking over the cars. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip [This message has been edited by SteveLaRiviere (edited 04-21-2004).]

Jerry that was real nice of you and Vikki to help Steve out like that. Is it me or is the cart leaning towards the drivers side. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Dang it again!!! I saw you two clowns driving around. I shoulda printed out the M&M mugshots and took them with me. I think I'll get permission from Steve to make a hat or something with the M&M logo on it for shows. Ya ~ Vikki, Jerry and Lindsey are awesome folks! Not only did they drive Steve around in the golf cart, but they put up with me and let me ride back to the hotel in the truck so I wouldn't have to take the shuttle! Mustang folks ROCK!

Big Time Kudos to Jerry and Vickie. I think is's fabulous how you made the show so much more enjoyable for our great leader! It's that kind of thoughtfulness that make this M&M group exceptional! Mike and I enjoyed meeting you all and getting to spend a little time with some of the M&Mers at the event. J.

I hope you don't mind me asking, Steve. I've known you in cyberspace for four years, but that only takes you so far! Are you wheelchair bound, or is this a temporary thing? Simon

Hey,,Not only did Jerry & Vikki chauffer Mr. Steve around,, Jerry along with Frank (IIGood)stepped up and gave me a ride approximately 20 miles back out to the track to get my pickup and trailer so we could rescue poor 6T6,, who was sitting alone at a gas station along Interstate 40.. AND,, did I mention it was about 11 pm when we left.. THANKS GUYS.. I can see FLAMES in your future.. twas no big deal, Steve came all that way he was gonna see them cars one way or another. he introduced me to alot of pretty neat folks that I otherwise would not have known. I enjoyed having someone that "knew" alot about Mustangs on board to keep me straight. and Vikki just loves any social activity. She says her and Ked "clicked" whatever that means. I think thats some sort of Grrl code. Ron & Mike R., I see a definate laying of the smack down on ya when you run into Fat boy racing. Off the top rope even! And Big D there was NO WAY Frank and I were going to let that beautiful 6T6 with flames sit at a 7-11 somewhere In Nashville. I think Frank would agree. Thanks to Frank for being my designated driver, I seldom drink but that night I had a corona or two, so Frank stepped up to the plate and drove my truck on Operation Rescue Big D. It was a blast, wouldnt change a thing, UNLESS I could some how have had even more time to see more. I hate we missed meeting Jeremy. BTW, Steve Miss Pam is a darlin, you need to keep her. Cya JS

I'm tellin ya,, when it comes to tellin stories,, I can't hold a candle to Big J..Jerry was raised in Rural Mississippi during the Muscle Car & The Daisy Duke Era.. He will have you in stitches tellin YARNS about hot rods & fun times of growing up in a small town (only they are true stories) .. Funny part about it.. We were doing the same type things way out here in Nevada..Thank God we lived through it.. Oh,, the stories my cars could tell..

I have muscular dystrophy, so I'm spending more time in the chair as time goes along as it's a progressive disease. At home I walk around exclusively, but I need the chair when I travel or on unfamiliar ground. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip
