We had a fabulous time traveling to and from Charlotte, NC in 1999 and atending the 35th Mustang Anniversary.
But in 2004 the show will be in NASHVILLE, TN! I'm thrilled! I love Nashville!
It was the site of the infamous KAOS breakdown with the trip 1999.

The show chairman is Jim Chism, brother in law of our own K-code!

Another big party to start planning for!

J.

Joyce,
Did MCA change the show venue for the 40th??? Last I had heard, the 40th was suppose to be at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charolette, NC. Time to go check MCA's web site and see what is up.

What Joyce said is true. Seems to have been some shake-ups with the MCA Executive staff. Charlotte/Lowes is very expensive to use, they like to keep most of the procedes. Not only is it a celebration of the Mustang it is also a "money" maker, sound familiar, for the MCA. When it costs you more than you can make, it was time to re-evaluate the situation. Jim Chism worked with the Nashville Superspeedway and Opryland hotel and got a great package deal. In fact, this years SAAC convention, Shelby's, is using the same set up. I'm looking forward to it, but it a helluva lot of work. Any volunteers???????

Mike,
I don't envy you and all the work it takes to put on a huge show. Our MCA show's here in Pensacola took a year to plan and execute. Have fun and we hope to be there.

One thing to keep in mind, this will not be a Music City MC sponsored show, like our past Grand Nationals and Nationals, it is a MCA Celebration, whatever that means. I'm sure we will be doing a bunch for it, but anyone interested and willing to volunteer their expertise, will not be turned away. I will try to keep everyone informed on the progress as we get closer. Its only a year and a couple of months away.
