after many behind the scenes communications, a decision has been made to make the 2002 Mustang Club of America Grand Nationals OUR official happening for the 2002 M&M Doo-Dah...

this event is over LABOUR DAY weekend
from 29 AUG - 01 SEP....

the host hotel is booked solid
as are many surrounding facilities
HOWEVER
i have located and pre-booked four rooms
at a holiday inn express which is located 1.2 miles from the speedway....

they DO NOT have an inhouse shuttle service but DO have a shuttle guy with whom i plan to call and negotiate prices....

these rooms are a hot commodity right now
and the sales manager assures me some of the pre-booked MCA rooms will open up as we get closer to the event.....

the hotel is located next to the concord mall
which is the largest mall in NC
with a huge amount of selection available
for feeding time.....

now.....

PLEASE email me OFF SITE if you are interested in one of these rooms
they have two queen beds ..... so if you book solo.... it would be cool to hook you up with another M&M'er who is also booking solo (like joel and i did last year! hooray for olympic nekkid bed-diving !!!)

let me know WHO is interested in the rooms
i will maintain contact with the sales director and pass names along to him.....

this wont be as easy as reno was last year
as we do not have shuttle service at the hotel
and it will probably cost to get shuttle service from the airport unless i can identify another hotel within walking distance who DOES have a shuttle.... then we can steal rides with them and walk to our hotel to check in....

all five rooms i am holding are now spoken for...

hopefully more will open up as we get closer to the event and other folks cancel their reservations...

please use the MCA weblink to get info on hotels closeby and pursue reservations! just git yer butts to the show and we will figure out logistics on getting together!!!
