I was looking at an old Popular Science dated August 1965 and they had a column titled "Detroit Report" and the last paragraph reads as follows:A Ford for the Future:
50 Ford GT coupes are being built in England for sale through Shelby American. The 289-cu.-in. Fairlane-based V-8 {in the center of the car} is rated at 385 hp. Transmission is a five-speed ZF unit. The streamlined coupe has a top speed in excess of 200 m.p.h. Cost? Only $16,250.
