...you can't call it the GT40, Ford doesn't own the rights to the name. Safir GT40 Spares Ltd. of Cincinnati, which bought the GT40 name in 1999 reportedly wanted $40,000,000 for the use of the name. {Dorks! }Also, I read that they are only going to build 3 for 2004, to symbolize the 1-2-3 win at LeMans. Then in 2005 they will build 1000. I wish they would get on it and build them. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

You know, since the 40 in GT40 stood for 40 inches tall, and the new version is 44 inches tall, I wonder why they didn't call it the GT44? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, and MyFordPerformance.com.

It will prob.go the way of the Thunderbird in a couple of years. They can't produce them in any great #'s,& the going price will prob. be over a hundred grand ,then Ford will pull the plug. My 2 cents worth.---S.
