Hi guys, I have a set of capagnolo mag wheels that are 74 vintage and a little pitted and worn, but not damaged. I want to refinish them but don't know what is the best finish to use. I have done similar things with standard alloys in the past but the finish never lasts more than a year before the surface coating is lifting off. Anyone know of some high tech finish that is not porous and lasts at least a couple of years. The finish is not a polished finished but a painted finish very much like a Farrari wheel. help wanted

Sounds like an excellent candidate for powdercoating. You can get almost any color you desire, and the finish is very durable.

or polish them and use clear powder coat but either way that's the way too go and it should last several years
