He is seeking monetary damages along with Ford Motor Company and Shelby American and Venture Nevada of $10 million.

He is also seeking to seize and destroy their AC Cobra fiberglass molds.

This was reported in the November 2000 'Mustang and Fords' magazine.

Too bad. Probably want to snatch one up while we can! Do you think they will have an inventory reduction sale?

It's really too bad. I hope they can work it out. Factory Five was the best thing to happen to the Cobra since Carroll himself.

Just an update, Factory Five is fighting this BS tooth and nail. All of the other kit makers are offering to back them in the legal battle, cause if Factory Five goes, they all go.

Shelby is desperate for cash and grasping at straws. Too damn bad that he will be remembered for being a bitter old man that turned his back on the hobby that supported his lifestyle.

Anyway, his lawsuit doesn't have a chance. For YEARS he has not only endorsed the replica hobby, he would even autograph peoples cars. He can't come along now, some twenty years into this deal, and say, "Woahh up there, this is wrong and you owe me bucks"

Thats total BS. Anyway, last time I checked he doesn't own the trademark COBRA, he doesn't own the AC Roadster body style cause guess what, those guys are still in business. Like I said, he is a BROKE, BITTER OLD MAN that is biting the hand that feeds him.

You mean that they actually made a fast MOPAR? That's freakin' unbeleivable! I've actually seen the Shelby Daytona and Charger, but an OMNI? they couldn't/shouldn't have!

In '89 they made a Shelby Dakota with a 318. It did the quarter in the high 15s, low 16s. {yawn}

It was mentioned in the July '02 Hot Rod.

Ole Carroll lost the suit too.
Said it was not his design to start with, AC made the car, he just modified it.

He is doing a lot of stupid things lately. Stories he has told in print and on tape years ago, are now changing to suit what he wants people to beleive. I love what the man has done for us, but he needs a press secratary.
