Funny thing about that "English" section.

I was looking through my health insurance web site this morning for an allergist in my home town. There is a drop down menu for preffered language and Enlish is NOT on that list?

Another TRUE STORY:

I was 14 years old in 8th grade (early 70s). I went to my industrial arts shop instructor and he approved of my desired class project.

I then brought a 303-British military rifle ON THE SCHOOL BUS AND INTO SCHOOL as my shop class project. Over the course of about 4 weeks, I disassembled the rifle reciever action & removed the the wooden stock from the barrel. I stripped off the old finish and re-finished the metal 'bluing' and re-varnished the wooden forearm stock and butt parts. Then I re-assembled it IN SCHOOL. ONCE COMPLETED, I RECIEVED A GRADE AND I TOOK IT BACK HOME ON THE BUS..... NO CONTROVERSY, NO PROBLEMS, NO BIGGIE WHAT SO EVER!

Yeah, I did transport it to & from school in a rifle case, because the LAW required it be transported in a case, unloaded. Once home, my dad & I did some target shooting with it and it was dead on!

In my old Junior High school they had a 9' by 9' room with no windows and one door that locked when it closed that kids had to go into and do their schoolwork when they became disruptive or got suspended... this was called the "In-school Suspension Room" it was completely white and barren aside from one chair and one desk. You were not allowed to eat, drink anything or talk.

I wonder what they'd say about that now!

When I was in high school in 99, I remember the pencil sharpener broke, the teacher told us to take out our knives and sharpen them!
Wonder what would happen now?
