One of our best selling Mattress brands just came out with a new $7000 king set. To replace their now top of the line $4000 model. That'll take some time to get use to. ------------------ oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs HOOD HACKERS DELIGHT! My Pics [This message has been edited by Fastymz (edited 01-26-2006).]

It is one of those "FOAM" beds. I agree John Mike, yeah it's a 2"x3" piece of foam. It would take a lot of them to make a mattres. ------------------ oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs HOOD HACKERS DELIGHT! My Pics

Ron, how are they justifying the $3000 premium? I hope they've given you some rock solid sales arguments! What makes the $7k bed *THAT* much better than the $4k bed ? Sad thing is, if they are offering it, chances are they've done their research and found that there is a market to support a new product and its (insane) price point. Do you get an all expense trip to Hawaii if you sell one ?? edit: oh, and I'm sleeping juuuust fine, thanks [This message has been edited by 65darkhorse (edited 01-26-2006).]

Last year my mom paid almost 2k for her mattress set. One of those air ones with too many settings. She just got married and her husband did not like it so they bought one of those "FOAM" beds. She had no problem telling me how much she spent on the air one but will not say about the "FOAM" one. Best part is she had the delivery haul the 9 month old one away. I am betting it did not go in the trash. ------------------ -351w Bored .30-351w Heads Fully Ported -Custom made Ford 9" 3.70 Michael Pics

The best $200 or so I've ever spent on sleep was on a memory foam mattress pad. It is the 5lb/ft density model, and is 3" thick. I purchased one for my mother, and it is 4" thick... even better. These are DEFINITELY worth the money. You just sink into them, but they offer great support. There are no pressure points, so you wake up without a sore back or joints. ------------------ Mike Burch 66 mustang real street 302 4-speed 289 heads 10.63 @ 129.3 http://www.geocities.com/carbedstangs/cmml_mburch.html http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/healey/367 http://www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?220

Mike, those pads are great. I recomend to every one I can. They do need to be used on a mattress thats still has plenty of support. Those pads have made enough impact for the big guys to start looking into their claims of it being a 5lb/ft density product. ------------------ oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs HOOD HACKERS DELIGHT! Nic, it's a brand new model that I'll get to see next week. I've been told it is alittle different from the others they make. As for them giving out "rock solid sales arguments" no need. I don't worry about those who buy it,they can afford it.
