Ok, I really wanted to throw this up here when I got home Friday night, but........WE WON IT!!!!!! We swept em all 7 points and after the first game locked up the third's championship. 179-221-198 = 598 I didint bowl too badly and we won doubles for game 3 so that was nice. We won game 1 by 38, game 2 by 120 and game 3 by 96. They were spotting us 2 marks. Their 1 bowler shot 672! The big picture is what really matters. I am very proud of our team which consists of myself and 3 women who are all at 160 and below in average. I am now closer to 180 which is where I should be. Trying to keep their nerves in check wasnt really easy. They kept wanting to drink more to calm down!!! I was able to teach them the importance of making good shots, and making spares. All have watched their average go up 10 pins since last year. For us, the bottom line is we get to play in April for the big bucks.

This friday it starts all over for the final 3rd. If we get the chance to win this 1 also, the roll off will be intresting. This will be a week of relaxation since I dont have to worry about what we do so much. I really put alot of pressure on myself to make sure we won. Sam knows what Im talking about Im sure!!!!!!!!

Way to go Tony! Glad you all get to shoot for the Big Bucks!

We had a good night again. We took all seven points. I'm happy that I'm finally able to make the correct adjustments to my line in order to make strikes. Started the first game with a three bagger. Ended up 8 pins above my average tonight. That is a first in several weeks.

We managed to have a good night, despite our best efforts. I won all 3 of my games and total and the team won 28 out of 40 points. Anyway, here are the scores:

169-164-135=468

What is amazing is in the second game, by the 5th frame, I had a score of 51! Talk about a turn around! Turkeys are wonderful things!

Yes Don, you have that 100% correct!!!!! Winning isnt everything but losing sucks!

Dave, being over average is a good thing. It always helps the confidence for next week. Greg, same on your end. Good job. Even if the scores are not high, you still won.

Turkeys can be a wonderful thing!

Yes, they can be. That is how I started the first game. To bad I couldn't string a few more X's in there.

Hey, just the fact I made a turkey is a noteworthy event! Normally, I can string together 2, but then I choke. In all honesty, I expected to see the headlines read this morning Hell Has Frozen Over!

LOL,
Well it is cold as hell here..LOL

We took 5 out of 7 point tonight.
Larry had a good set of 647 with a 254 high game.

I did ok with a 606 and a 235 high but that 171 hurt

Looks like we all had a pretty good weeks so far..on to Thurs night

The planets must be in some weird alignment. I mean my entire team got strikes on our first balls last night!

By the way, Nice bowling there, Sam!

The best thing I can say is that we won 7 points - make it "the guys won 7 points" - I wasn't any help. I did finally figure out how to pick up the 10 pin - use my new ball. The old ball and I didn't get along at all this week.

But she did win the Ladies 2nd game pot of 20 buck

And I got rooked into teaching a new bowler how to bowl, tonight her set was 163,,yes the set was 163,what have I got myself into..LOL!!!

Way to go Sam! As for the new bowler, hey, we all started somewhere. At least she has a teacher who can teach her correctly from the beginning! This way you won't have to break her of bad habits!

On Friday afternoon, we did a make-up game from back when I had my broken toe. It ended up being one of my better sets, even thought they had just oiled the lanes. I started using the Roto-Grip Spare Tire ball for the first ball and it made quite an impact. Anyway, here are teh scores:

169-170-134=473.

I'm knocking on that 500 set! One of these days, I may actually get there!
