How many of you watched this show. Did you know last night was Alan Bestwick and Johnny Benson's last night. Dave Dispain (sp?) is taking over and Vickers,Kenny and Mike will do the show.I enjoyed that show for the last 5 years, sad they broke up a winning combination,I really like the format. Sam

Yup. They don't know what they are doing in my opinion. Guess they are trying to reach out to the "younger generation" of NASCAR fans. Of course, you ask the youngins who Richard Petty, Carl Yarbough or Morgan Shepard is and they will look at you funny.Liked the article on the "Power Rankings" for this week. There was one little line next to Jamie McMurry that said "Six Roush cars in the Chase for the Cup. Imagine that." LOL I hope to see the 24 car wreck, blowup or not finish Saturday nights race and miss the chase. That will make my day. Alan was good, playing the sheep herder keeping them moving down the road.Dave is alright, but he will dominate the show way too much. At least it ain't Eli Gold - Gag, choke! ------------------ SkinnyMan Tupelo, MS Thank you, Thank you very much!

I, too, am sad to see them break up this show. Granted, Johnny was too often just like the rest of the furnature on the set, but it's hard to get a word in edge-wise against Mickey. Alan was a good ringmaster for the show. It's really a shame what has happened to Alan this year, between getting demoted from the booth to pit road and now losing the Inside Nextel Cup show gig. If NBC/TNT wanted to get someone out of the booth, why not get rid of Wally?------------------ Greg W. I could do without Benson as far as that shows is concerned, not that there is anything wrong with the guy. He is just kind of dull if you ask me. I think Kenny is very funny and should stay on the show. Nevertheless, I think Alan Bestwick is one of the most levelheaded racing commentator, reporter and hosts in NASCAR racing or any other racing sport. Not to mention I think he has a good sense of humor as well. Unfortunately, apparently he is disregarded by the news media spinning clueless @$$clowns in the NASCAR media community. Does Mikey own the rights to that show or somehow control it?

Actually, I don't believe he does (althought they always refer to it as his show). They were even talking about canning Mickey earlier this year. They want to try to skew it toward a younger viewer. Personally, it would have been just fine with just Allen, Mickey and Kenny. I don't hold anything against Benson personally, it was just so easy for him to get lost in the shuffle of Mickey naming every one of his sponsors for either 90 or 60 minutes, Kenny getting in some good jabs at Mickey and Allen trying to keep the show on track. ------------------ Greg W. DisSpain isn't a favorite of mine,I'll watch his show when there's a good co-host.How about this show,I forget the name, they cover Cup and come on before Inside, have change host at least 3 times, have some skinny gal on there now who would not know a Bush car from a Cup. They could take that off the air! I went to Speed and e-mailed them, like they would listen to me Sam Sam

Did anyone try out the new format with Dave Dispain hosting? I at least watched it. Dispain tried to be more of a moderator than host and tried to keep Brian Vickers from becoming a potted plant against Waltrip. I think I miss the old format. Thoughts?------------------ Greg W. I don't like DisPains voice, irritating to say the least. I do like the use of in car radio clips very much. Vickers,he's ok,I gave him a few weeks to get comfortable and he will do fine.I rather have Allen back,he is much better than DisPain IMHO But I digress,as Aleen would say Sam
