Just Got Home..

Made a quick trip to San Diego for my Dad's 90th Birthday Party.. He's doing really well and even is still pretty dang sharp..

Had a great visit with my family.. I'm the youngest of 5 kids: 3 sisters & a brother (who is 6 years older than me and use to torture & beat on me when we were kids.. But I kicked his butt in golf on Saturday..

Had a fun party and reunion Saturday Night,, My dad made off with one of my Flamed Straw hats,, only it was mine with a really nice Running Pony Pin on it,, but that's OK..

Then on Sunday,, all of us,, including my Dad and his wife,, went to the Padres game in their new Stadium.. Nice Ball Park - Terrible Food.. And they lost to the Phillies...

Decided to come home via RENO.. Sorry SCOOP,, I didn't get to visit with old friends in San Diego either..

Stayed at the Atlantis,, had dinner and couple of cocktails and of all people,, ran into Joyce's daughter "Heather" and a friend celebrating Heather's Birthday.. She said it was her 21st,, but I think she's fibbing..

Got going this moring and went over to Summit.. (nothing good on the returned merchandise shelf) Bought a couple of trinkets for 6T6 and hauled butt across Northern Nevada to Wells.. Dinkest was waiting for me with a Waggling Tail..

Took my old '92 Seville.. It looks almost new and has a new motor.. Bought it from my X for $3,000,, thought it would be a good way to keep miles off my old pickup.. It used one quart of oil,, and got and average of 21.5 MPG.. And it was usually in the lead or a Top Five Finisher in the race that is constantly taking place on California Freeways.. Them suckers are crazy..

I know I'm RAMBLING,, but have you picked up on what's different about my trip compared to others ??

I wasn't going to brag untill I got home and here I am.. NO BREAKDOWNS,, NO Busted Radiators,, Rear Ends,, NUTTIN.. It started EVERY TIME & Performed GREAT..

So,, now that I'm Baaaaack and the Fun Run has come and gone,, I promise to spend a bit more time at M&M.. But,, there will surely be a few more adventures out there..

GLAD TO BE BACK..

Oh Yeah,, Did anyone see 6T6 in the Write Up of the Reno Restomod Show in Mustangs & Fords new addition.. I think Ron Likes Me..

Steve,,

NO.. I have everything ready to put it in and my bud in Idaho was going to help me as we need to weld the spring perches on the housing and I want to do it right the first time..

I was hoping we'd get it done this weekend,, but it looks like next week..

But,, just in case,, I bought a set of snow tires..

Thought I was going to have the Rear End together last weekend,, but I had to go to a show in another small town in Nevada called CARLIN..

Good show,, it's one of the only shows I actually got to sit down,, visit and relax.. That's when I wasn't Mixing Rasberry-Banana-Smoothies,, okay so they were't virgins.. I said I was relaxing..

6T6 got a lot of attention,, especially when I was trying to park in the grass and the rear end kept snapping and grinding.. You can feel it all the way up your spine when it slips and trys to catch a gear..

I'm heading out to clean up McShop,, so I can work on my 9",, and if you grrls are wondering,, I painted it last week.. Now it's shiny and black..

You better come out West for a while Kedra.. It was 39 degrees here in Wells the other night.. Day's about 85 and smokey from fires in the area..

I actually turned my heater on a couple of evenings.. What was funny is I forgot to turn the thermostat OFF and the next day I thought I was getting a fever because I felt all hot,, but in reality my SWAMP COOLER was blowing cool air on the THERMOTSTAT which reacted by turning on the FURNACE..

Steve,,

It would have been expensive if I hadn't caught it.. The Swamp Cooler is manual on & off,, therefore it would have kept that thermostat thinking it was good and cool in the house..

As it was,, it was only on for a few minutes..

Ked,,

Remember,, I was stationed at Ft. Bragg when I was in the service.. Fortunatly I got orders for Fairbancks Alaska in the middle of July.. That's how bad I wanted to escape the HEAT..

I sweat enough out west.. Hell I'd probably weight 150 lbs if I moved back to the south..

Hey Stewart..

When I took 395 To Reno on my Southern Cal trip,, I took some pics of a Earth Quake Fault in Mammoth Area..

When I get time,, I'll post a couple of pics.. Pretty amazing.. About 30' wide at top and 30' deep.. and it just heads out through the trees..
