Mike's BIG FIVE-OH is tomorrow, 4/18! We had a great surprise party for him last night.
Been planning it for weeks and he wasn't even suspicious. We pulled it off!
Mike Jr. kept him busy away from the house for most of the morning chasing stangs and parts (they bought two 66's!) Then his mom had a few errands and repairs at her house to keep him occupied. But when it looked like he was going to come home too soon, our daughter Heather phoned him and said she had a flat tire way on the south end of town. So he had to go on a wild goose chase all over to find out she really wasn't there. She felt guilty about fibbing, but all was well when he arrived home to his party.
Lots of Mustanger friends, few family and neighbors came.
We played Old Fart Bingo that had stuff like Prunes, Cane, Nap time, Grey Hair, and more funny things on the little spaces.
I made out a questionnaire of 10 things for people to answer about Mike, like what celebrity does he remind you of, what is the silliest thing you've seen him do, what animal is Mike. Got hiliarious responses. I read off answers randomly and Mike had to guess who wrote it. A lot off good laughs.
He received a lot of really funny gag gifts too.
I hung big signs and lots of balloons on the front of the house. So now everyone that drives by our corner knows he is officially an OLD FART!
BTW - A little trivia - Mike passed Einstein on his way into this life. The old genious died on the day Mike was born. Hmmmmm...Here's a pic of Mikie's cakes.

Happy Birthday. I am not 50 as of yet but I did join Old Farts Racing. They gave me a membership card which says I am a " Official Old Fart" Sounded like you had a busy day with a rewarding evening, Congratulations on the Big 5.0------------------
