I don't know if it was a rerun, but I hadn't seen it before. They went along with Chris Titus and 3000+ other cars on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Man, that looked awesome! I think I gotta add that to my list of "things to do one day." At one point, Titus took a detour to some small town in Oklahoma, to a machine shop. The owner of the shop has so many classics and muscle cars lying around, it's not even funny. He has 2 AFX cars on display, a BFX Comet, a Talladega...just ridiculous! That was a pretty good show. And now, I wanna do the HRPT too. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good"

One suggestion on the Power Tour...do the entire tour, "Long haulers" get much better treatment than those that only do one or a few days of it. I did part of the 2002 Tour, it was a lotta fun. We joined at the fourth stop in Louisville Ky and did the rest of the tour (National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Pontiac, Mi. and then Youngstown Ohio for the Street Machine Nationals on the last day) plus a side trip to Canada's Casinos and another side trip to Chagrin Falls Ohio to visit a relative for lunch. Total miles were 2300 in 5 1/2 days.Oh yeah, black vinyl seats and NO A/C. I think I lost 20 pounds that week. ------------------ Stuart M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, (sold and missed) my photo page

A rerun, phone rang, saw most of it. Some WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY COOL CARS!! The eBay fastback looks sharp IMNSHO. What a blast that would be! Just too many sharp rides and wished I could have had about 30 secons on each one. Some were "individual expresion" to be kind but still terrible. Still like streetrods! Watched the Overhaulin' Challenger do also. Still don't like Mopars-LOL!

Frank..I was in Mesquite, NV when the Power Tour came through & stopped their that night.. They use to have a Route that came from LA,, and headed through Colorado.. They don't do that Route any more,, because they kept running into SNOW & Hail Storms in the Rockies.. What a trip visit with the Haulers & checking out their rigs.. Every type of car you can think of,, from VW Beatles to a Blown Hemi Altered Dragster (with NO windshield).. Every night they set up a full blown show & shine with major sponsors setting up displays and selling their goods.. Mesquite was their 1st OverNight Stop on the Tour.. Got to visit with the guys in the Altered.. What characters.. They wore WWI Leather Pilots Helmets with Goggles.. The management/staff of HOT ROD MAGAZINE didn't take cars,, so they bumbed rides throughout the tour.. (Neat Idea).. Anyway,, the President of HOT ROD copped a ride in the altered through the CA Desert,, so the driver aired it out a bit.. Got pulled over by the CHP at over 130 mph.. What's great is the CHP DID NOT give him a ticket.. That was one of the main reasons I wanted to join Mustangs Across America to Nashville last year.. We know the rest of the story.. ------------------ Don 6T6 Fastback 331 STROKER, T-5 Royal Blue Metallic w/SoonToBeNewAndImprovedFlames http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/BigD.html First Time out.. 13.384 sec @ 103.388 mph

Woulda been better pics, but Wallyworld messed up one whole roll of film that had some really nice FoMoCos on it. I just went as a spectator in Davenport. It was a blast! And the price of admission was right, too. FREE! Supposedly, Titus was MIA for most of the day at Davenport because he was swapping out a tranny for one of the long haulers who had problems. Also supposedly, he located the tranny had it delivered, helped swap it, then told the guy that he owed him a dollar for the whole shebang!
