What are your most recent things you've found at a real bargain price? I was at Home Depot yesterday shopping for sprinkler heads and stumbled upon $5 toilet seats, I just couldn't resist, something new to sit on ------------------ reliving youth

I was at the landfill dropping off some yard waste and was paying for 2 yards of bark when I overheard a woman in a minivan ask if the landfill took ranges. Needing an oven in the garage for my new powdercoating kit, I asked her if the oven worked and her reply "oh, the whole thing works, why would you like it?" Needless to say, I followed her home, got a nice range for FREE and now just need to wire in an outlet for it in the garage.

Way Sam. Get the puppy hooked up and lets see how the powder coating thing works out. I will gladly donate some brackets for testing. LOL Git-er-done. Dave & Terri ------------------ '65 Mustang Fastback '66 Mustang Coupe '02 Explorer XLT Common sense isn't common anymore.

Another thing I think is a good deal is lately I've been getting the taco salad at Wendy's. It comes with a standard size salad, a bowl of chili, sour cream, corn chips and salsa. You're supposed to dump the chili and the sour cream into the salad, but I get low-fat Catalina salad dressing for the salad, eat the chili separately, save the corn chips and salsa for a late night snack, and use the sour cream with a baked potato I have in a meal later on in the week. That's not a bad return for $4.19. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

That's a lot of self control there, Steve. I'd just dump them all in and have it down in about 3 minutes.

Recently found out the Taco Bell taco salad has more calories than a Big Mac meal.

Taco Bell I thought I saw their salad with fixin's was 890 cal, which is less than the Big Mac & Fries, but I don't eat all the fries anyway I've been doing the McDonalds salads lately and they come in at about 390 - 420, that's why I was shocked the Taco Bell salad was over 800.

I've been eating salads for lunch during the week days. I make my own though, I'm too cheap, plus my doctor threatened to put me on more meds, so have to behave. It sucks being old.------------------ reliving youth

Our dishwasher died last week....we've had a leaking cold water pipe in the basement that's been leaking since we moved into this house 4 years ago (the house is 40 years old)....and the shower drain doesn't stay open when taking a shower. Got a new built in Kenmore dishwasher, pipe fixed and a new shower drain for $60 (my deductible). Of course, the $350 home warranty renewal I paid 10 months ago didn't "feel" like such a good deal, but the $60 I paid yesterday did seem like a good deal for a $350 dishwasher and a draining shower....oh yea, and that pesky leaking water pipe.------------------ Sub Stanger/Oxford White 2003 Mach 1...and a guy who LOVES his wife and kids! No, still less as the Big Mac and 'medium' fries come in at 910. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip
