I'm not sure what class my 65 falls into?
What do you guys think? I would like to enter and see if I don't get make too many people upset.
And I'd like my dad to enter his almost stock 88GT too.

Sam, I was thinking that one too, but I have cut a hole in the hood, and cut on the radiator support, and drilled a hole for the kill switch on the back panel.

Scoop, I'll be talking to Ron B. this weekend. I'll let him know he forgot the Big A$$ Scoop class.

Actually, in RESTOMOD any car without a scoop is NO CLASS! Right?

Just to warn you if you go mild, you'd be competing with PINKIE!
She already kicked butt in Reno, right guys? (At the M&M gathering in 2001)
KAOS will be there in the dinky scoop class.

J.

Ok, now thats enough out of you!

Joyce, really my car isn't about to win any class. It's just cool to be in show with other Mustangs that aren't all stock. Now if my paint job would have come out better, ok a lot better then just maybe ol-pinky would be green with envy.

OOPS! Excuse me Scoop!
Just looking at the website again, PINKIE's in original class.
I never enter expecting to win either, or really even caring. Just there to see the cars and meet the people.
But at the awards when your name is called it still feels good.
PINKIE and KAOS are both getting a little worn. They are driven cars and it shows. Each ding or rock chip has a good cruising memory associated. Rather have the memories than the trophy.

Anyway Ron, Mike and I are going to Reno the middle of April to help plan out the Pony Trails route. Let you know, maybe we can get together then?

J.

"PINKIE and KAOS are both getting a little worn. They are driven cars and it shows."

That makes them even more deserving of the award in my book.

I'd like to go on the Pony Trails cruise too. I've never done anything like that before. Sounds like a lot of fun.

How far do you usally go on those cruises?
I can give you some idea's if you'd like?
The drive around Lake Tahoe is always nice. About a 2 hour drive if you take your time.
I'd start by going over MtRose hwy 431 toward Incline Village about a 35min drive from Reno to the Lake. A two lane highway with a few real sharp curvs. And one very large turnout that over looks the lake. It would make for an amazing picture with all the mustangs and Lake Tahoe in the back ground. Once down to lake level you can either go right or west towards Tahoe City plenty of places to eat and get gas. Or East towards Incline Village and sponner summit. Not has many services, but some great views of the lake.

Is that the road that goes over the hill (you guys call those mountains) to Placerville? Cool road, great views when going towards Tahoe from Sacto.

I wonder if the Restomod show will have a bunch of Mustang II's with 60's Mustang front suspension? Leftover parts.

Ya Know.. When you typically go to a mustang show and you have a modified mustang,, you know exactly what class you are going to be in.. MODIFIED..

It's kinda fun to rate your car or that you actually have OPTIONS.. My hats off to the Bramlett's and the staff at Mustangsplus for spearheading the Modified Mustang movement and taking on the task of organizing & sponsoring the Reno Event..

I know it's a feather in their cap,, giving more recognition to MustangsPlus,, and as far as I'm concerned,, they deserve it..

How many of you are going to this?

I'm sure you know this event is being thrown by our sponsor and friend Ron Bramlett of Mustangs Plus. If you attend, I'd consider it a favor if you stopped and told him you appreciated him sponsoring our web site.

We need to remember to do that.. I talk to Ron periodically and I'll make it a point to bring that up.. I always let him know how much I appreciate the SPEED SHIFTER..

I called him the other day about a Stereo Shop in Twin Falls, ID that has done some really nice fabrication/stereo installation on a 65 Coupe.. He is interested in going to the Reno Show..
