Well, as predicted we are at an all time high in the USA. Nationwide average is at $2.05 per gallon of unleaded. I am going to take the liberty of saying I told you so last November. Prices will be over $2.50 by summer (if it ever gets here). Our racing will be cut back about 50% this year as we just can't afford it. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! You would have seen the same thing even if Mr Wishy Washy would have been elected. You'd probably would have had a new bunch of taxes to go with it, too. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

I'm more concerned with what's going on here in the USA right now, not somewhere we have no business being in the first place.Let's not make this into a discussion about Iraq please. I've already lost two friends there that I shouldn't have. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! Ok, then, he would have pushed to increase the CAFE average to 35 mpg, driving the prices of cars to the moon.Welfare folks would have appreciated the raise higher taxes on the middle class would have gotten them. The point is moot, he didn't get elected she we have a different set of problems. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

It's going to be at least ten years before we get the first drop out of the ANWAR fields in Alaska, so don't get too excited. It's still only around $1.97 here so I can't complain too much, as I know many of you are well over $2 a gallon! That little beebop car I got last spring has paid for itself tenfold, at 40 mpg. It ain't pretty, but it sure is cheap! ------------------ Beth Hey - did ya hear? My Alex is CHAMP!!! In the past week gas prices have jumped here from $1.59 to $1.93 for 87 octane at the cheap gas stores. So much for my commute every day. Might be time to go by a beater/hoopty mobile.
