Well, for the second time since we lived here, we have had a vehicle broken into. My wife went off to church this morning in her van and found the passenger door ajar and the glove box left open with the contents on the front seat. She didn't think much of it and closed everything up. When she got to church, she couldn't find her bible. When she got back home, she took the kids to school. On the way there, one of the kids spotted her bible alongside the road. She stopped and picked it up. After questioning the kids if they opened the van up last night, it was determined that the van was locked. She called me at work to tell me about it. I checked the truck and nothing seems out of place.Since there is no outside lock on the passenger door, I am beginning to wonder about the remote lock system. Is is possible that it has been compromised? Or is it an easy deal to use a slim jim on a Windstar? I saw no traces of forced entry. The drivers door does not unlock with the remote. I had to replace a couple of security lights and I am going to set up my camera again. The third strike will be unlucky for the punk that decides to break into any of my vehicles. Did I mention that I REALLY hate thieves??? ------------------ Motor Safe! I especially hate theives that steal bibles and then toss them away. Maybe if they read it far enough to get to "though shalt not steal"... Nevermind...

I once had 3 punk neighbor kids break into my explorer at night. As luck would have it, I looked outside and the interior light was on. I knew what was going on and called the cops. Again, as luck would have it, a patrolman was right around the corner. He stopped I told him what was missing mainly CD's and a bag of clothes. He looked at me funny and said "hang on a second". Get's in his car and drives off. About 10 minutes later he pulls back in my driveway with all the missing stuff and a car load of kids. Turns out he drove past the kids walking down the street on the way to my house. After all this is over, the mother of 2 of the kids comes down and yells at me becuase I was pressing charges against her innocent kids. I politely informed her that if she did not get off my porch I would gladly press charges against her for trespassing. I was worried about retaliation but, they always left me alone after that.

This was happening at our dealership a couple of years ago. The would climb the fence, break into customers cars and just throw everything around in the car, but nothing was missing. The Police told us, they are looking for insurance cards to get valid policy numbers to make fake ones. We hired an off duty policeman to sit back in a car on our lot all night. He caught the guy. Put a beating and a half on him but the guy managed to get away. He's never been back and we have never had this problem since. Identity theft is a huge problem. ------------------ THE WISE A$$ PHILLY GUY!!PHOTO ALBUMS http://community.webshots.com/user/7dmach1 CRUISE NIGHT WEB SITE http://www.geocities.com/phillycruisenite/ CAR SHOWS AND OTHER EVENTS http://www.delvalracing.net/Forums/index.php?act=calendar

Ive read problems about the remote entry and stuff for vehicles. alot of thieves are staying away from cars with air bags in the doors bc if you jam a slim jim down there the chances of that air bag going off are extremely great. the slim jim wont puncture the bag , the bag will shoot the slim jim into the thieves neck and kill them. this has happend to alot of cops. so they usually make a tow serivce come out and do it (or a locksmith). i caught two kids about a month ago breaking into cars in my section. they went down every street. i followed there tracks in the snow called the police and they were arrested. good luck and catch the punks------------------ 88 thunderbird TC 2.3L 66 mustang 200ci 3 speed 68 Fairlane 289 w/ auto 79 f150 300 3 onda tree
