Umm, I'm originally from Illinois the first 18 years of my life but it was too liberal for me so I must say Wisconsin is better? ~Not knowing what this post is about~ I lived in Joliet and had to race at Union Grove back then. After I moved away in '87 I never looked back. No Joliet has the bigges/best/most expensive/most modern drag strip in the world? WTF????? Illinois is still too liberal and keeps getting worse Who did Illinois beat and what sport?

Regular's will understand the love/hate relationship Illinois has with Wisconsin.Bears vs Packers, Cheesehead Homos vs FIB's etc. In this case, it was college basketball. U of I vs U of W. I'm getting better at overlooking spelling mistakes, but when a guy can't spell his own state, AND does it in 76-point bold face to boot ... C'm Alex, are you gonna edit that???

It was the butt of many jokes! Sounds like Alex is putting a real spin on "Cutting The Cheese"(heads)!! LOL!

Alex, that's quite soppisticated wit But you have to feel sorry for a bunch of guys who can't even read or write when the Spanish turn up and name their country after a guy named Philip! Which is why somewhere along the road they said screw this and ended up with: TAGALOG FOR BEGINNERS: 1) The country is called Pilipinas. 2) A person from this country is called a Filipino or Filipina. 3) The words Filipino and Filipina are - as Alex indicates - pronounced Pilipino and Pilipina. Last but not least, a little known fact. Only one in a thousand people who do not live in this country can spell its English name! It's a bit like Masachussets or Misisipi.

I wasn't kidding Simon. I really do have a Filipino friend named Fred. He is a retired service station owner and mechanic. He has a street rod that I occasionally help him with. But after 40 years in the US, he still introduces himself as Pred. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
