Kids and adults will always find some way to do something stupid with their cars (including us in our time). In this case nothing will really be done about it until more people are killed. What really amazes me is that there was nothing said about how many were killed by actually being hit by one of these cars doing donut's, they only mentioned that one kid was killed (bystander) when he was shot. The kid being shot just shows how todays generation has degraded into severe callousness and disregard for human life. In my day when we all got together for some "industrial road 1/4 drags" there was never any shooting or anything even remotely similar. I can honestly remember not even seeing a fight at any of our get togethers, I know that it was no better then what these people are doing, but at least we did it on an old industrial road and not in the middle of town, and the cops left us alone for the most part because we kept it away from the main-steam.

There's no hope for the future. Terminators are going to rule the world because humans are just too stupid. Sounds like a good movie plot.

Seriously, I can imagine a HUGE difference in classes in the future. In the past, most kids were more or less the same, with just a few geniuses and idiots thrown in the mix that mother nature developed.

Nowadays, it seems that kids come in two flavors. At one end, you have kids that are super intelligent and can learn or do anything, and at the other hand you have kids that staple hardware to their faces, ride skateboards into buildings, stick any chemical in their body they can get their hands on, and talk like they have an IQ of about 4.

The split in the balance of power is going to be amazing.

You're not far off, unfortunately the less educated and fortunate are going to be the majority of the masses. My business professor in college said that socialism is the type of society that can endure the longest, not that I agree, but judging by the way society's value on life is slowing slipping into the gutter, he may be right.
