....on my new project.
1951 F100, rescued from it's doomed fate of having a chebby motor installed.

Boxed frame, complete narrowed Currie 9 inch, Mustang II front suspension, new bed with tubs and tailgate, fiberglass fenders and running boards, power rack, shaved doors, new floor and firewall, body work on cab is done, Griffin radiator.

Came home in pieces, will take a LONG time to finish.

Some before pictures will be coming as soon as my daughter teaches me to use her digital camera.

Special thanks to Dwayne (Thud), first for buying my Mustang to help finance this, second for putting me in touch with the owner of this truck, and third for coming by and helping us load it up.

I'm just glad it got a good home and that the cheb motor mounts won't be welded back on... (as far as helping load it... I did more talking than loading...)

Don't forget about the steel front fenders and running boards that are still to come! What are you doing on the 20th? I can get the pieces to you at the Canton Cruise-in if you wish.

Canton on the 20th sounds like a plan.

This is gonna be like putting a model car together, just wish I had the instruction sheet. Guess I'll just have to use my own "dumbrections".

There's so much to do, I really don't know where to start.

Pictures coming, don't expect much, they are "before" pictures.

The 289 and C4 that came in the Mustang will be sliding in soon. Need to get the motor mounts set and then I can start painting and detailing.

I was afraid KV would pinch my ears together if I tried to take his GRRL for a ride.

Stuart,
Congrads on the '51 Gotta love that front grille. It just looks tough. If you need parts, check out NPD. They now have a Truck line for '48 - '98 Trucks! Enjoy the ride once you get it all together.

Stuart,
Getting it in pieces is what makes it more interesting. This way you build it the way you want it. Based on your Red car, I have no doubt that the truck will be just as good.

Built a wooden dolly last night to put the bed on, bed will be at the body shop this week. We're gonna have the bed complete and in satin black primer until I decide on a color. (it may stay in primer till it gets driven a while, old school hot rod look)

That, my dear GRRL, would've been the plan.
