Had a sweet head deal that my parts supplier said he could get me, a one day only deal that was going to be less than half price for a set of edelbrock heads, today is the deadline, and i call him up and he tells me that his parts supplier got the wrong # and gave a price for the wrong thing, so his price is now back up to stupid canaian prices

bah, thought my choice was made up for me, now back to deciding.

If he's an honorable company, he'll honor the price you were quoted, otherwise it's a scam, in my opinion. In the companies I worked for, we always honored the price that was given to the customer, even if somebody screwed up.

In Maine we would contact our attorney general's office of consumer affairs and inquire about if this was a violation of fair trade practices. Surely there must be something like that in Canada?

Where do you buy parts?

Motion? Sybersport?

Tried dealing with wheelers in brandon, but he screwed me on my intake manifold, it was super expensive to begin with and i had to pay a decent deposit, then when it came in he said it was another $120 more, and i said you quoted me a price and that's what i brought, and he said he made a mistake and was sorry and all that jazz, should have really made a bigger issue out of it and made a complaint to someone about it.

This guy at least told me before he ordered the parts and before i made a deposit, and it's not him, it's his supplier, so i can't really badmouth him.

I dealt with sybersport in wpg and he seemed decent with the seats and even arranged for shipping of the brackets that came late to get to my house after i had came in to get the seats. However Corbeau, not sybersport sent brackets that were listed for my car, but didn't fit the floor at all.

So far my best option is to buy from summit and get it shipped to a place just across the border, go down and pick it up in person and bring it back and pay taxes, works out usually 20-30% cheaper on most bigger things.
