Well this is going to be a fun weekend I can see it all ready. I got the blower Monday; so excited man let me tell you what. Lifted the blower out of the box clean as a whistle lower intake was nice too. Great! Wonderful! Hardly... Start pulling out pulleys. Every pulley is damaged except the largest of the boost pulleys. Either bent grooves, chipped grooves, Grooves that are worn down to the supercharger locking up. Okay.. this is a bummer. All three idler pulleys the come with it the bearings are toast too. Yay! And the idler arm; bolts to the bottom of the supercharger holds an idler pulley.. Yep its got two holes drilled in it and a notch cut out of it. For this "Custom" tensioner that the genious came up with. Okay so I've got a brand new supercharger and intake... minus multiple bolts. No big deal, contact Holley see how much the stuff is...565 dollars!! Okay... I can get a brand new one for that pluss the price I paid; let me get ahold of the guy and see what he has to say. Well, the guy is illiterate. Can't spell an e-mail. My transactions had been through someone else. His cousin who was responding for him. Well typed and readable. But then the actual ownder responds and he can't spell "I" right. I told him he could put out the 565 dollars or else I could send him the blower back. "NO NO NO, I'll get you two idler pulleys made." Well I've all ready seen what you make and I dont like it. So no, I'll pay for shipping back to you and you send my money back and everything will be A-OK. Well talk to him on the phone a bit ago and he hangs up on me. So I e-mailed him and his cousin told them again that I'd pay for shipping of his blower back to him. So that hes only out shipping and so am I. And that if theres no response with 24 hours I'm going to contact e-bay and work through it there. What a mess this has turned out to be. Wish I'd never thought of buying this damn thing. POFS. Has anyone gone through e-bay before? Was it a PITA? Any tips.. I've jotted down times of all phone calls. And kept copies of every e-mail. In the E-bay Ad he specifically states "Complete kit" "Better than new condition" Both of which are lies. I even told him I'd leave him positive feedback if we could work it out. But the mans just stubborn. He knows he sold me a POS and that he wont be able to sell it again without having the same problem. Blah. Never Again.

It had pictures, just not closeups of the pulleys. I mean you wouldn't think that the pulleys would be wasted. And I paid by Cashiers check unfortuanetly. So he's got my cash.

Just got off the phone with the owner of the E-bay account; real nice guy sounded like. Intelligent too. He said give him till Monday, and he would talk to the blower owner and try to get it straightened out. He also said "Never again will I ever sell anything on E-bay for someone else." So he's helping me out a lot. He doesn't want to get negative feedback and wants to make it right. But I'll be out 100 bucks regardless to ship it back to them. But I'll be happy to take this as a 100 dollar learning experience. As far as car parts go from now on... I think I'll stick to brand new. That and I was talking to the big time painter at work; said he knew a guy that would weld two quarters in for me at 600$ for both. So I might have to bite the speed bullet and make 'er pretty! I just hope this blower situation goes smoothly. So that I'll not be out a ****load of money.. if not.. anybody interestest in a blower with useless pulleys ???

Don't give up on ebay yet! Alex and I just finished a sale on there, sold nine or ten things, and will have some more to go up later this weekend. We have had one unsatisfied customer out of over 100 transactions. And this woman, our one negative feedback, she was a treat. Don't know what you all expect when you buy something used, but she was looking for MINT. We are overly conservative when we give descriptions, and always pay the extra .15 a picture for more views of our items for our bidders. There are good deals to be had on ebay, but just like any other group of humans, there will always be one or two lying a$$holes in the bunch. Good luck! PS-we prefer Paypal transactions for our buyers, as we feel it offers a bit of confidence in buying for our customers. They know they have another way to "negotiate" if something we sell isn't up to their standards. Have never had a disputed Paypal transaction as of yet!

They have an escrow now too, which I wish I would of known about ahead of time; where you send the money to them; they hold it till you inspect the item etc. Then send it on to the seller. Wish I would of done that. It would of been well worth it. But I'm not giving up on E-bay I've got some great deals off of it. But when you get burned; you get burned BAD usually which is unfortunate. But only time will tell how this turns out. I'm hoping for the best.

The two major "never do's" that I used to read in car mags. and listening to guys way more savvy than me. 1.Never buy a used blower 2.Never buy a used cam.Can think of some other things that shouldn't get reused................

I recommend that you send it back C.O.D. That way he can't rip you off again by getting the parts back and not sending the money. US Postal COD. If he doesn't pick it up at least they can get the package back for you. Been there and done that, it sucks.------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, Edelbrock Performer RPM package my photo page

I'm going to try to get the money ahead of time. The seller I must commend on his patience. But thats a great idea if they don't want to send the money out first. I'd hate to have to make a trip to Jersey over this They're supposed to get back to me today on their decision. Which is just lovely since I came down with the flu, I could use the money to cheer me up Thanks Everyone! Luke

I believe its Englishtown NJ. Sounds like a place to have a M&M get together and take some target practice perhaps? I really hope its going to work out though.

Don't blame eBay. Take a look at the rules page of what they don't allow to be sold. It is a very well organized business that matches up sellers with buyers. eBay has a system for dealing with bum deals. The bum deals can be blamed on sellers or buyers who would probably try to srew you over in a face to face deal, too. Maybe someone can help me out here; seller agreed to let me ship to the blower back to him. But now I'm in a conundrum; I'm not willing to ship it back and be dependent upon him sending me the payment just because. And COD's only cover up to 1,000 dollars (UPS/FEDex/USPS). So does anyone have any ideas on how I should handle this? Only way I can think of is to split the package into two seperate packages to get my payment. Thats all I can think of right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated; Thanks, Luke
