Thanks everyone much appreciated for the cover of this fine site!!

I love the bench seat, I would never change it and you dont see too many 4 speed bench cars. The car was optioned really wierd from the factory so its different.

Here's a good story about a Torino GS a friend of mine had.. (of course this happened way back in 73-74)

He was so proud of the power and the way it drove that he put a receiver hitch on his new White GS so he could tow a boat to our favorite water skiing lake..

We towed our partners heavier than He!! Gulfstream Boat to the lake.. As he backed it into the lake I kept telling him not to back in to far,, because the ramp was sandy mud and the Torino could get stuck.. Needless to say,, my partner,, knowing his GS with all the power would pull out was STUCK.. Water was literally running in the doors,, so much that he couldn't open them,,nor should he..

After I quit laughing enough not to Pee my pants,, I went over to get someone to pull the GS out of the lake..

The 1st thing my bud said once we got him out of lake was,, "Anyone got a Gun".. As he wanted to shoot me for laughing at his predictament..

He pulled his Torino up on the side hill,, opened the door and I swear water & fish came jumping out of the GS..

Don't think he ever pulled that boat again..

It was a beautiful White with Red Interior GS.. Nice Car..

That story of the Torino lauching a boat reminds me of a couple of years ago at our local marina. I was pulling my 21' 4 Winns Cuddy out when on the ramp next to me there was a man trying to pull about a 25' sailboat out with a Chevy Clebrity wagon. All he could do was spin the wheels. I offered to help him and pulled it out without any wheel spin in my F-150!

My brother lives on the Florida coast and he said people lose vehicles all the time there. The shells and barnacles build up so bad, you just spin, then the trailer takes over.
