oddly enough. I live in California and have only felt one earthquake my entire life.------------------

I was in that area at the time, but driving. Didn't feel a thing.I was in a 6.4 in Mexico once. I felt that one. It was in the middle of the night and I dreamed that someone was shaking my bed. I woke up and my bed really was shaking!! 
I ran out into the courtyard to find 20 or so Mexicans in a panic. They know all to well to get away from buildings during an earthquake. Not much damage from that one fortunately.
