got this today.
Recently we attempted to authorize payment from your credit card we have on file for you, but it was declined.
For security purposes, our system automatically removes credit card information from an account when there is a problem or the card expires.

i havnt used e bay in 6 months, why were they trying to use my card??? ------------------

Well, you didn't post the link and secondly, you didn't state whether the card you had used in the past had been re-issued by your CC company. It is possible they were trying to update the records?...But, did you go to your user info and verify if your CC was out of date? And yes, it could be a scam or could be legit...hard to say

tbird, what made me just a little bit suspicious is the fact that they dont have a cc # of mine!!!------------------
