We stayed at the Mason Dupoy on Tolouse which is 2 blocks from Bourbon St. If you've never been to Pat O'Brian's on St Peter Street off the corner of Bourbon St you're missing a great time. Went there as soon as we arrived Friday night. Be careful of the Hurricaines. Three on an empty stomach in rather rapid succession will cut your lights out . Had to leave and get some pizza by the slice to help calm the waves. Wife said we had to go because I was too loud for the piano bar . After getting up Saturday morning and checking out the shops, Jackson Square and the Riverwalk we went to Harrah's Casino that night and helped them pay a couple of employees for a few hours then headed back to the hotel. I'll have to tell you about what we saw on a balcony on Boubon in the Bawdy Shop..... Anyway, if you get a chance, go to the Frech Quarter for the weekend but dont take small children. Bourbon and Royal Streets aren't suitible even during the day.....

Cool...sounds like a real party area! And it is on my list of places to go in my lifetime (seriously, I have a small list of places on a piece of paper that I'd like to visit at some point in my life...at least once).------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

One of the best places I have ever had dinner at was Southport on Burbon ST. If you ever go, sit on the balcony and do some people watching. All kinds there from mild to wild. Oh, and the resturant has some great food too.

Well, not specifically, but I do have New England on the list (I've never been north of New York yet). ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

I did get to go to New Orleans a year ago. I was there 4 days though on two nights i was at the race tracks and the two nights for sightseeing were in torrential downpours.
