While my wife was shopping in target I had a look at the magazine rack which isnt very well loaded with good car mags. It had a copy of compact car magazine (a ricer publication in case you couldnt guess)

What was in it?
An article about 2 fast 2 furious. About movie cars and what they are like in real life. They tested the real life cars. The opening paragraph mentions the 67 mustang in Bullit (which made me mad because any car guy knows it was a 68). Then they proceeded to admit that the yenko camaro from the movie was actually the fastest when they tested it!!
It was interesting because instead of admiting that cubic inches and brute force was good, they kept going on about "poor handling" or "terrible brakes". They bashed car craft magazine (by name) then kept talking about "for those of us unafraid of this century" or bashing nostalgia. It was odd. I just kept thinking that it vindicates everything I have been thinking for all these years about cars and cheap V8 thrills. If they dont have the balls to admit that V8 powered cars are fun, that tells you all you need to know about ricer attitude.

I'm not sure ricers can get any more ignorant.

In their minds they invented "Sport compact" racing a couple years ago... even tho VW's and Mazdas have been raced with success since the 60's.

Theres a few locals that have it figured out and are going quick via a major infusion of bucks or talent... but 99% of them are neither Fast nor Furious.
