John, I got something similar when my credit card expired. I haven't been active in paypal for months, but just used it this week. I got the email that said that I was an unverified member and was close to my spending limit which is around 800. but I only spent 83.00. I don't give anyone more info than they need....

yeah, I've been getting similar emails supposedly from ebay, but haven't followed the links either. I haven't sold anything lately so no need for them to charge my account anyhow.Didn't use paypal for about 3-4 months, then used it not long after coming home with no problem and no similar emails from them.

I doubt that is an actual PayPal thing. Maybe some hacking or something? PayPal at no point asks for your PIN during registration, so why would they need it now? The only PIN PayPal should know is the one for your card issued through PayPal, like the one I have, the Premiere Business Account Mastercard. I would forward the email to PayPal asking if the email is actually from them, or better yet, call them.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic

I got the PAYPAL e-mail asking for an update since I hadn't used it for a while, and the expiration date of my current card was 6 weeks away. Don't know if that's what triggered it but it sounds like maybe not....
