Since my youngest is starting kindergarten next week, I got myself a nice little part time job down at Home Depot.

I'll be cashiering for a while to train, then going to Special Services for customer relations. It not a bad job and the people are really nice that work there. Full benefits even for part time. They'll give you just about any hours you want, real flexible.

I have to go for a urine drug screen tomorrow. Is it true that they actually stand in front of you while you pee? I dont care for that. /

Congrats Suzy! Study real hard for that little test you need to take. You don't need to fail it. LOL In some cases, yes there is an observer in the bathroom to ensure that it is your urine and not someone elses.

Cool Suzy! I use to work at Home on de-pot in the tool corral (and front). Where I had to go didnt have an observer .

Dave, thats the military for ya . Gotta hate being the guy who gets picked for that duty (one guy in my dads detachment got randomly picked 3 out of 4 years).

Hey!! Congrats, Suzy!!!

The day my baby left her DAYCARE and started the summer program through the schools I was a wreck!!!!!! I hope you take it better than I did!!!

~as for the urine test thing....I had to do one of those for my current position....

when I worked in the Probation Office one of my duties was to "observe" (believe me, the observer doesn't like it any more than the observee!!).

Don't you know I felt like a fool when I asked if I was gonna be observed and the girl said, "just pee in the cup, o.k.?"

I think only if you're on probation/parole does someone have to watch...... (or in the military).....oh yeah....I could tell some stories about those "observations"....think I'll save that for another time....

There's one I think Alex would really like...

I dont think you'll have to worry about an ovserver for a drug screening in the private sector. That's ususlly for military and government positions. The last one I did, they used a temperature sensative container that would show a scale on the side that could tell if it was "fresh" or not.

BTW, Authur Blank, Home Depot's founder, is my hero. Not for the store but because he purchased the Falcons from those idiot Smith's and it looks like he has what it takes to turn things around.

You're all right, they didnt come in. But they made me empty my pockets, put my purse in a blood cooler, I couldnt flush, there was no sink, and the toilet water was dark blue. I FELT like I was on probation! But Im a clean grrl, so I shall start next tuesday and "bleed orange"

They found out I can drive a forklift (use to haul ammunition with a 4000lb forklift) so maybe I'll get to tool around the aisles with a load or two to break up the monotony...watch out boys, lemme show ya how it's done!

Congrats on joining the Home Depot team, I have been working for them full time for about 5 months. When I went for the drug screen they sent me to the bathroom to pee in the cup. I work the night shift in recieving from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, tough hours but it pays the bills.

I couldn't agree more Steve! It's anyones guess for the points race. Mark Martin did close the gap, but so did several other drivers.

Suzy,
Have fun showing the boys how well you can drive a fork lift. Just don't run them over. Enjoy the new job and have lots of fun.

Have a friend that works in paint. Asked him what he'd do if some guy came in and asked him to match his girlfriend's n****e. His answer. "OK Honey! Crouch down here and let me get it under the camera. Here! Let me help you get in position!" LMAO! No one can say say that the Depot doesn't give good service! Yeah sure! LOL!
