Klondike 300, 300 miles from Big Lake Alaska to Skentna,Petersville, Yetna, and back to Big lake.
I started out last then moved to 8th then 5th then 4th then 5th then made a wrong turn and it cost me a place  d'oh 6 out of 11
Prize money will about make me break even 
Shelby lead even though she is 9 1/2. Her son, Elliot, Took over and was super! here is the story (at the bottom)

What a great way to spend a 3 day week end with 16 of my buddies. Saw Nothern Lights, a shooting star (or space junk), and lots of country! ------------------

 thats great Wayne, check out my M&M web site for pics of my Shelby. My wife & I are going to dog sled races here in NJ in Feb as long as there is enough snow. Cant wait. ------------------

Wayne, Congratulations! Have you ever posted pictures of your dogs on the site? If not, I'd love to see them. There was a dog-sled race here in Oregon, in Bend. I looked for your name, but no luck. If I'm not mistaken, on another post, did you say you have 30 dogs? Do you breed or just raise them to race. Enquiring minds want to know. ------------------

is my site for the 2001 Iditarod it's not been updated since last March I'm not going to race in the Iditarod this year . I don't have the time or $. more on the race at www.iditarod.com. I went to the K-300 dinner. Big Prime Rib, Poetateo (sp) {Hey I'm from Indiana} etc. Best post dinner I've ever seen. I thought they only paid to 5th so I wasn'texpecting any money really > well they paid to 6th and I got a almost a grand!!!!!!
Mike, email me your Shelby's Pedigree I could make a good guess on her back ground.
Which club? I have friend that race all over in the east too.
Sherra I have only 31 Siberian right now. ------------------

They tried to buy my dogs but they are my "Kids" so my neighbor sold them two adults a some puppies . The movie is based on the "winterdance"
