Hi all,

My 91'SC kicks rough, blows volumes of white smoke (with fuel smell) and let loose lots of coolant underneath chassi (haven't looked under yet.) I'd appreicate feedback/suggestions. Also if anyone knows an honest SC mechanic or "back yard" guy near East Rutherford NJ please contact me.

My Thanks

well the white smoke is a god sign of burning coolant. the fuel smell could be a different problem id run the codes for that. the coolant from under the car could be a bad HG leaking in and out of the cylinder or a bad hose. HG are easy do it yourself.

trashline,

thanks for the response. I've priced a fel-pro kit but dont have a working are (garden apt parking space) for a do it your self.

btw you've got an impressive collection there. before I traded in my 85 bird for the SC I considered keeping it but the space problem again. I really loved the 85 although the SC does sooth parting with it.

again my thanks

well you could pay a pretty penny to have a shop replace a HG. Thas why i said it isnt that hard. if you have all parts then it can be done in half a day. i know a guy who did a HG on a side of a highway.

but it does sound like you have quite a few other problems going on. any coolant in the oil and vise versa? try to find the coolant leak. that way you can try to get it somewhere. your a little to far away for me to recommend shops. do a search talk to people in north jersey or New york
