how hard would it be to put a c5 and a c6 in a 91 tbird.mostly concerned with linkage and exhaust routing

A C5 and C6 are two different animals. The C5 is C4 based and should fit in place of an AOD, but the C6 is quite a bit larger, and could cause problems interfering in the tunnel.

i was under it today and i notices that the tailshaft is directly over t exhaust. will the c5 tailshaft clear the exhaust. what do you think.

You would have a lot of TV cable and VSS issues. The Processor or ECM relies on data from the trans to direct the engine controls.

The '91 BIRD had the AOD. AOD-E was not available until '94. So you could either keep the AOD (with TV changeover kit) or fit a C4/5.

I think a C6 would be a little overkill...
