I have a friend who just built a A/C cobra kit car. With a 408w,holley 750 dp,afr heads, comp roller cam don't know which one? msd ignition. Almost ever time he decelerates he gets a back fire from the exhaust?
Any idea's on what it might be??

Ron, if you put free flowing pipes on a motorcycle without rejetting the same will occur due to a lean condition. I would check the plugs to see what they look like. Charlie

He has been jetting it down thinking it was an over rich condition. Thanks for the advice guys.
It's always nice to act like I know what I'm talking about.

I talked with Jim today about his cobra back firing. He said he's both moved the jets richer and leaner, still the same back fire?

Loose header was said before. Did he torque them bolts back down after checking for a blown out gasket? Been there. Drove me crazy...
