Looks like they were using a hydrogen peroxide propellant system, like the rocketbelt of days gone by. Sounds like it too

I'd like to be wearing a bit more protective gear at that speed, but it probably wouldn't do much good anyway

Yea....that's the NHSA (National Hot Schwinn Association). I'd definitely need a diaper for that ride!

I coulda gotten to school Really Fast with that thing! Only thing is those silly rubber bike brake shoes melted the first time he tried to slow down.

All I can vision is the front tire blowing a tube and all of a sudden this guy is no longer riding, he's now skating at a buck fiddy.

That's just plain scary.

I like that puff of smoke behind him right as it kicks in and he speeds off. Reminds me of a roadrunner cartoon.

As for Rocket bikes, if God had meant for man to have them, he would've had Orville & Wilbur invent them 100 years ago.
