Here's my setup: Currie housing 31 sp axles detroit locker 3.70 strange gears Other details in my sig. Mostly street driven, but will also see some track time. What weight gear oil should I use? Also do I need any friction modifier? The guy that did mine said use 80w90 with 2 oz of friction additive. Mine is an 8" with a Tarc-Lok unit, so I hope it helps.------------------ William The easiest way to find something lost, is to buy a replacement. 68 Coupe 289 C4 3:55's/Trac-Lok

You won't need the friction modifier with the locker since it does not have clutches. Gear oil varies, but I use 80w-90. Jason

2.2 quarts of Valvoline 85-140 gear oil is what Sutton Engineering told me when I picked up my 9" with Detroit Soft Locker. Friction modifier is only needed for a limited slip from what I understand. Had to use it in my 8" with a Currie LSD.
