Took the fox racing this weekend and data-logged the runs using my LM1. The car seemed to really break up at the top end of the track- very eratic sounding. I downloaded the log today and found the fuel pressure, which was set at 7psi at idle, is dropping to zero during the run. It happened during the burnout, and then returned to 7psi. Then it dropped during the run, and returned after letting off. I also noticed I can blip the throttle and see the FP gauge dropping and rebounding while the car isn't moving.

The complete fuel system starts from the 10.5 gal foam-filled fuel cell to 8an braided line to a Summit billet, 130gph filter. Then 8an braided line to a Comp 140 fuel pump to 3/8" alum feed line to the Mallory 4309 return-style regulator. 6an braided to the 800 DP carb. The return line is 1/2" alum line to 8an braided line to the fuel cell.

Any ideas why the pressure goes to zero? What do I need to do?

My advice for building & buying:
1. "Never Assume!"
2. "Pay me now or pay me later."
3. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is."

If this is a new problem and the car hasn't done this previously, I'd disassmble the fuel pump and clean out the pressure regulator valve.Sometimes all it takes is a very small piece of dirt or debris to cause the valve to stick.Clean or replace the filter also.
