Based on the classification guide: http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/classification/classfiles/1970FORD.xls It would fall into F or G stock with a 351C 300HP.

My bet would be a 351C 4v Closed Chamber 300 Hp motor. A Boss 302 would also fall in F but i think they only came with a stick. This is the first time i have heard of this car or driver. ------------------

Ya I had never seen or heard of anyone running the 300 351c combo either but it seems like a pretty nice set up on paper @ 300 hp its less than a 73 open chamber low compression 4v motor. I think the only thing bad about the whole combo is the carb but at this low a hp rating it should work and it looks like it does judgeing by Mr. Cron performance especially if its a new car to the track ------------------ D French 67 427 Fairlane(A/SA) 73 Mustang 351c

A friend of mine used to run a 70 Mach 1 with a 351 C 4v quite a few years ago in G/SA, it was never really all that fast. In addition to the Autolite 4300 carb (the 71-73 was able to run a Holley 780), the 70 camshaft was also not as good as the later versions. I seem to recall that at one time, there was a SS/I or J stick 351C 70 Mustang running that ran decently. I believe that the racers name was Denny Wyencroft or something similar. Anybody recall this car?------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed [email protected] 1.32 60 foot 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed.
