I have a Holley 1850 600vs that I rebuilt (only the second carb iv'e ever rebuilt). I bought the holley renew kit and installed it. My problem is that when i attempted to start the car fuel just trickles out of the squirters. I have the correct fuel pressure and the fuel pump is pumping fuel so I figured that I must have missed something when reassembling the carb.I preset the floats and all. What would be causing the squirters to trickle and not squirt? [This message has been edited by quick50stng (edited 04-19-2006).]

The fuel bowl gasket or the metering block gasket could be the wrong partnumber or leaking. ------------------

I removed my carb last night an rechecked everthing.* The flow needle check valve was present * The pump diaphram was installed correctly Is it possible for the flow needle to stick or hang? Because once I removed the flow needle and looked in the carb where the needle rests there is a small indention where the flow needle tip has been resting possibly caused be to long of a screw to one time to intall the center squirters and pressed the needle into the housing. So I reinstalled the carb and the center squirters started to work and then nothing? I am stumped. Hans the meter block gasket woulnd not be the problem since I matched the existing one with a new one and it worked fine before. keep the ideas coming Thanks in advance Chris

I just printed out Holleys rebuild instruction manual. And it seems I may be missings some crucial pieces.Underneath the pump discharge nozzle should be 1. pump discharge needle valve which is there. 2. Pump check ball weight 3. Pump check ball. I do not have the pump check ball weight or the check ball underneath the needle valve.

The pump checkball is in the bottom of the floatbowl just above the diaphram.Where the needle goes there is nothing else.
