I was turning mine today and and it was like the brakes were on, wouldn't spin free at all :O"XR7, I don't know if you ever got your dragging disc brakes cured or not. I've been wrestling with my dragging front discs for quite some time now. I rebuilt my front calipers thinking that was the issue, but it didn't help. I have finally gotten it thru my thick noodle that it's related to the style of master brake cylinder I've got. Well... yes they are still dragging. Same now as before I rebuilt the calipers and installed a manual disc master cylinder from a 74 Maverick. The brakes work fine but I haven't gotten rid of the drag. I've heard of guys using springs on the caliper pistons and drilling out the check valve etc. but haven't done this myself YET... Thanks for asking! Maybe someone will share the answer. I don't want to pony up the 500 bucks at the moment for Strange front discs.------------------ 68 Cougar XR7, 428 4-speed, Best ET 6.82 @ 101 1/8, 10.69@ 127.44 with 1.51 60 ft. Wells bells....It seems like that Mav manual disc MC would have cured the problem. Dang!! Which makes me hesitate to run down & spring the 90$ for the Ranger MC now.... (I also hear what you're saying about stepping up to Strange or Wilwood front discs...) Maybe someone else here has new information on this subject...???? Anyone?????
