i am going to install a line lock on the new dragin wagen. first, what brand should i get? i have a hurst on the capri and have had no problems with it. they are over $100. the biondo is a good name and is only $39. it dont have the switch and the little light but i dont need that anyway. gonna use the horn button.
2nd, i ran the one on the capri from the outlet of the proportioning valve which requires a lot of plumbing. i dont remember why!! can i just hook it inline between the m/c and the valve? thanks

I have had a Hurst unit on the Fairmont for almost 20 years now, never a problem, but yes, they are pricey. I have also had good luck with the TCI and Biondo units on my street Fairmont, as well as my 85 Mustang. Both were much cheaper. As for plumbing the solenoid AFTER the distribution block, that is the way that NHRA requires it. On the Fairmont, I used to have it plumbed between the master cyl and the Dist. block, it always wotked fine that way. However, about 10 years ago, NHRA mandated plumbing the solenoid AFTER the dist. block, so I had to re-do the plumbing. Doesn`t work any better (or worse) this way, but I suppose IF the valve in the dist block were to stick, the before dist block arrangment COULD cause a problem.
