ok, let me start out with giving u all the info I can and u guys can then let me know what u think and what Ideas u have.

I just put a 94 cobra motor (302) into my 66 coupe. I changed the timing chain cover too a early model and added a early style water pump. I then called summit and they recomended some march pulleys for my setup. I then purchased the 50oz dampner for a early style conversion with the dimensions of a 28oz. Well I put it all together and the pulleys didnt line up. I then called professional products and they said I needed a spacer. Ok, they line up, but Im not left enough room for the fan too fit in there without hitting the radiator. Ok, i call back and they said I need too go with early model pulleys. R they correct? I had a org. water pump pulley off a earlier 302 which is a double groove and when I put that on with the march crank pulley, it lines up without the spacer giving me a little more space. Can I match up pulleys like that? One org. and one from march? I also havent tried putting the fan on yet, but it still will be a tight squezze but without that dampner spacer, it should give me a little more room. What r your thoughts on this. Anyone do this type of conversion before? Could I have the wrong water pump and its too long? Im not sure, Im def. a ameture.

you're talking about the original fan and not a clutch or elec one, right? how big of a spacer are you using inbetween your fan and your water pump? they come in a variety of sizes i had the original one on my setup (i think 3") and that was too close i bought one an inch shorter checked my clearances and have been good ever since.
