Anyone out there using the flowmaster mandrel bend tailpipes on a 65 falcon? I see that they are available for a 65 mustang but not a falcon. If so did you have any problems getting them to fit? Thanks.

I've not worked on Falcons or 65-66 Stangs, but I thought the Stangs were basically rebodied Falcons. Doesn't that mean they'd be the same fit?
Sounds to me like you need to climb under someone's Stang.

Not a Falcon, and not to be a wiseass, but maybe you ought to post this in the Falcon section to get a better answer, but I used the Flowmaster mandrel bends on my car and they fit perfectly.

I have argued many times that the Mustang is no more a rebodied Falcon than a rebodied Fairlane. In any case, some Mustang running gear was derived from both the Falcon and Fairlane; but IIRC, the Mustang shared no structural, underbody, overbody, glass, roof, hood, doors, trunks, etc. with either the Falcon or Fairlane. All three used Ford's 60s unibody design philosophy, but were each different in execution. This is unlike the 65 Baracuda which was basically a Valiant with a different roof line.
I have the Flowmaster exhaust system on the Fastback; but don't know if tail pipes fit anything else.

tomstir - Is there any difference underneath between your 64sd and your 64 sprint? If there isn't then they should fit my 65 falcon.

Any difficulties with the install? Thanks.

Yes, there is a difference..mainly because of the fuel tank location/design which is not factory. I think there is more room in the Sprint. I think they will work great.
