hi,new to the forum
just thought i would give you guys some info on 2v intakes.
edelbrock performers are identical to a standard 2v dual plane, only alloy, and their airgap,is a copy of the australian torque-power dual plane, which by the way out perform the xcelerator up to 6500 rpm.
runner cross-section is smaller than the xcelerator,i run one of these on a 2v headed 351c,with a 600cfm vac sec and very mild hyd cam 220@50 thou 0.0505' lift.
car is a xe falcon.weighs 3500 pounds runs 11.8@115 mph.

yes it is summer alright,40+ degrees!
i port cylinder heads as a hobby, and this car was initally a test bed for cleveland 2V heads, manifolds, different spacers, carbys, and camshaft combos.
this engine 100,000 kays on it,uses standard rockers,small hydraulic cam,1 5/8 4-2-1 extractors,and a 600 cfm vac sec carb with standard boosters.
now,camshaft has 114 LSA,late closing intake valve,only 140 psi cylinder pressure,i have worked hard on improving throttle response,hence the torque-power manifold,new cercere,4 hole 1 inch spacer,and small 600 throttle body with 650 baseplate.engine is very responsive.
oh,and by the way,the oc heads, have port volume of 168cc and standard size valves.
over here in australia there are 3500 pound cars with 2V heads, with same port volume,on 357 ci running high 9's@135 mph!!
heads flowing 300 cfm

Nice to have another racer here. Especially from somewhere warm and sunny when it's wet and cold here so he can rub it in!

I guess the Aussies have had basically one Ford engine to develop for the past 35 years and have gotten real good at it. We North American Ford types split our development between a half dozen different Ford engines.

yes,i guess you could say that...
the cleveland engine over here,of late has become very popular...hence the aftermarket heads, and manifolds...and also stuff like timing covers(at last)...
mind you,the windsor is becoming very popular as well...and are a very good engine as well...
but,can you really beat those canted valve heads?
it is amazing what power potential they have if the right approach is taken with them!...
