Along with my rearend swap i will be installing a lakewood scattershield. To protect myself of any flywheel/clutch issues. I would like to know if the scattershield from lakewood part #15200 needs any modification for my car it is a 65 and i have long tubes with the mech linkage for the clutch. Or if my car needs any modification to make this work. has anyone ever had any issues with their fitment? Thanks Steve

I have a lakewood housing on my 302 bracket engine along with hooker long tube headers and the stock clutch linkage, fits like a glove. don't forget to align it with the crank centerline.

Mine was as simple as bolt it in, and go, everthing cleared, and when I put an indicator on it, it had .002 runout, which is just fine. Mine is a 70, but I'd think your would fit with ease.------------------ 1970 coupe restored with the help of my dad. currently engineless, soon to be 418w stroker, lakewood bellhousing, 4-speed toploader, and 3.50 9" locker rear. 1986 f-150, 5.0, factory towing package with original c-6 trans http://www.supermotors.org/registry/vehicles/detail.php?id=7794

On my 65, I had to cut a notch in for the clutch linkage to clear the bell housing, BUT, I have the 351W (bored & Stroked to 408). Other than that mine fit well, not a lot of clearance for the headers but they clear it.The alignment was a real bear to get right, but finally got it right. ------------------ Red Fire Clearcoat 65 Fastback, 408W. Did you only need the offset dowels to get it aligned?
